The ice on Matoon Pond is now 8 to 10 inches deep and the ice fishermen are out. In the photo below you can see the dock and two hearty souls out on the frozen pond.

We just had to go and see how our little pond was doing. The road into and around the pond is dirt. Even in our 3/4 ton 4X4 pickup we slipped a little in all the slush.
